Barnet FC - A History of Success
Barnet Football Club, commonly referred to as Barnet or The Bees, is a professional association football club based in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire. Established in 1888, the club has a rich history and a loyal fan base.
The Early Years
- In its early years, Barnet FC was known as Edmonton Football Club.
- However, due to financial difficulties, the club changed its name to Barnet Football Club in 1907.
- Barnet's first home was the Wood Green stadium, where they played until 1936.
The club's early success can be attributed to their strong performances in regional tournaments and friendlies. However, it wasn't until the 1950s that Barnet FC began to gain national recognition.
